I know you have concerns about the glass but i have dropped mine loads and they havent broke. I would honestly say get the solo. I own 3 portables DV T-Vape Solo and the solo wins everytime :)

The only thing i dont like about this unit is the battery life but you can use it while its charging. Its a well built unit which gets very nice results id be willing to cough up 125 for it.

Man that really sucks If you bought the unit with a credit card im pretty sure you can call them and let them know what happened. I had something similar happen called american express and they gave me the money back.
