Wall thickness is a bit over 2mm, I can't get an accurate reading with my calipers because of the rounded edge on the plain end of the stems. Both ends are nicely finished.
Here are the stems from Mountain Glass Arts. The Emerald Green 19/22 - 100mm stems measure 120mm long. The ground portion of the joint is 22mm and it's a snug fit in the Splinter with a rimmed basket screen installed.
The Clear 19/22 - 120mm stems meausre 122mm long. The ground portion of the...
I have a Vaporesso Revenger and it has good TC implementation, you can also set a custom TC curve using Vaporesso supplied software, Windows only. I did a firmware update on mine, easy to do. I would definitely consider another Vaporesso, but as always read a few reviews before you buy. I had my...
In my opinion your mod will work fine as is, don't worry about extra firmware at this point. Many box mods out there work fine out of the box for our vaping purposes. Start in variable watts mode so you can get a feel for the StemPod and how it heats. After vaping in VW mode for a while I'd...
That mod should work fine with the StemPod. Are you concerned about lack of power because the mod is single cell? My Battlestar Mini is single cell and it works great. I was monitoring the heat generated by the StemPod, by the end of my session the top of the mod was warm but nothing alarming...
I've been running the StemPod in TCR mode on a Smoant Charon Mini and a Smoant Battlestar Mini. I've just about fine tuned my settings, almost there. With both mods I'm using TCR=285 (Dan's recommendation), 38 watts, and temp set for 410F for the whole session. Using the Charon Mini with...
Yes, you can get a box mod that works great for between $45-$85. A lot of the mid-price range mods have good to great Temperature Conrtol (TC) implementation. Check out the brands Smoant, Vaporesso, VooPoo, Asmodus, and there are others I'm forgetting. I see that @HerbieVonVapster posted a...
Hey Folks. I ran across this deal for the Lost Vape Paranormal DNA250C for $99.99 when using the code LV50. I won't post a link to the discount code but it's from the website vape.deals. I tried the code in my shopping cart and it works, I didn't actually buy the mod though. The code expires...
I've been trying to figure out what size stems to buy for my Splinter for a few days. I thought that I had figured out that my Splinter had a 19/19 joint. Since I made those posts I've heard back from Ryan replying to my question about stem sizes. He states that all of the Splinters made up...
I pre-ordered in June, the July date is when I ordered some accessories.
I don't think the wood StashPods will ship until August, Dan posted estimated shipping dates up thread
What wattage range do you recommend? What's a good starting point for TC/TCR settings? I've got the TCR settings dialed in for the Splinter and it's my favorite way to use it. This information used to be on the ModPod Labs website but it appears that the website is being refreshed and I can't...
Maybe not, here's mine with the 19/19 joint. Look's like there are several limited edition Splinters out there.
I'm just happy to have gotten one, I'm loving mine.
Thanks for the in depth reply @Summer.
I received two of the long stems with my Splinter. I've measured the stems, Splinter, and other fittings I have (and posted a photo) but with a sample size of one Splinter I had nothing to compare it with.
Thank you!! This is what I've been looking for...
I still don't know what stems will fit my Splinter, does anyone else have a problem with stems not fitting?
Are there two versions of the Splinter out there, one with the 19/22 joint and one with the new 19/19 joint? And there's been talk about backward compatibility of stems? I've emailed Ryan...
Thanks for mentioning this @Summer. Is the new 19/19 joint suppose to be more compact? Here's a pic of what I've been using to check the fit, those are 5mm grid lines. The one on the left is from Alan, he calls it an 18mm GonG roasting tube. Next is one of the two stems that came with my...
What temps were you using when the temp protect kicked in? With TCR set for SS316 try much lower temps, like starting at 200F.
With your DNA mod you should be able to set a specific TCR value. I've never used a DNA mod but I would think you'd be able to set the TCR value on the mod. The DNA...
