Aaaaaand purchased. Stoked on this! I've been loving my new Firewood 4 but couldn't pass up the opportunity to add this to my arsenal.
Any tips right out of the box?
Hey guys, I've been wanting to grab a Grasshopper for a while and haven't bit the bullet to get on the loooooong waiting list. Now seeing that it's being listed for retail sale here —...
One thing I've noticed about my FW4 is that the heating chamber tends to get quite hot (hot to the touch on the short-walled side) after the unit has been in use for more than five minutes or so, especially at higher temps and more so than I remember with my FW3.
Is there any concern re: this...
@paytonpenn can you elaborate on the FW4's "party mode?" and temp-staging? Is the later the same process as for the FW3 and do you find it necessary or beneficial?
Weighing in here. IMO, the cooling unit actually makes the device more difficult to use while on the go. It's nice if sitting or standing still, but I find that the mouthpiece's small opening causes me to "need air" while walking and doesn't allow me to take a long enough drag. For some reason...
Thanks, Marc! One more question: Is there a relatively easy way to remove and replace the silicon/o-ring from the mouthpieces for cleaning? I just struggled for five minutes on one of them and finally got it, but I'm assuming I'm going about this the wrong way.
Checking in here after just having received my FW4 in the mail today. I haven't spent quite as much time with it yet as I'd like to given a busy day, but what a beautiful piece! Finish smells great and lends slightly to the taste on the first two capsules (haven't gotten to a third yet), but in...

New Summit owner here, not new to vaping. After my Extreme Q caused the upstairs landlord to shoot me a morning text saying he's smelled "something" on numerous occasions, I decided to keep things mobile going forward for sake of my living situation. Hence, the Summit purchase.
I'm...
@DDave Ahh not a bad idea! Slim chance, but we'll see if I can upsell this thing :)
I think my best bet would be to continue the wand to wand approach so i don't have to switch things out, and then buy a 14mm female to 18mm female adapter. Thoughts?
Also, as far as hitting the wand dry, is it...
Hi @DDave! I'm going to go ahead and admit that I fucked up royally by throwing this adapter away because I had originally thought I wouldn't need it due to switching from stock items to your mod. Thoughts on the best way to proceed given this mishap?
Hi folks!
Longtime lurker, first time poster, and new to both the Extreme Q and the DDave mod I purchased to go along with it!
First, let me say to the community that I'm highly impressed with Dave's awesomeness. I ordered the 14mm "conservation" kit from him via eBay, which was shipped...
