the Solo keeps dropping on eBay. Multiple sellers are down to $164.99! I am debating pulling the trigger now or waiting for it to drop more.

Email first to set up a RMA. They will refuse any packages that do not use their label. They will make you pay shipping both ways up front and email you a shipping label to print. (cost me $27 but worth it to get back to 7th Heaven)

I am sure they will fix it for a reasonable fee. Sounds like it could just be the suport that holds the heater in place.

Sounds like you got the older adapter. The adapter has been revised since and is no longer a problem. (in fact its perfect!) Email 7th Floor and kindly explain the situation and I bet they will take care of you.
