I tried a little dyna oring to get the spacing right for Austyns mouthpiece, however, I agree with you and prefer the Vapman version for adjustable airflow.

Mines gotta be a newer one. Just got it a few days ago. I’ve taken the pan out once at the beginning to clean and wipe before first use. Rather ingenious design. Very impressed. Looking at getting another or a Swiss made one. I missed the apple run :(.
I remember reading that around page 113. There was a conversation about it. Just know there was a lot of chatter about copper fumes and such. Seemed everyone has said it was safe.
Anyone know if the gold plated crucibles are replaceable? Can’t find one online and mine has some scratches. Kinda concerned about the copper being exposed and wanted to replace it.

My question is, is it worth trying to keep the char down? I’m pretty consistent with tip-to-tip on a smaller flame but I notice the residual heat is causing some browning. Is it inevitable? No...

Today’s the day friends. Vapman out for delivery. Been using a Dynavap for years but something new tonight hopefully. Still in awe that I ordered it Sat from Italy and it’s out for delivery in Va today. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten things from Dynavap in Wisconsin this fast much less a country...
