I have more or less eliminated the issue with the window staying clear of debris. With an even draw, even with a quicker speed I have adopted, I only get pieces to fly up if I really pull too hard. In general, I don't think a top screen is necessary with proper technique. I have also found more...
@grokit Yes. I am a compulsive stirrer, and I rotate and turn the wand regular (standard).
@Korben I think the cord should go on the side of the knob and be deatchable, so you could replace it if you needed to.
I have typically been bumping my temp from 1:30 to a little past 3 near the end. Is the evenness of the abv indicative of how thoroughly vaped? I occasionally get pieces very dark and some green left too, even when no vapor is any longer being produced. Thoughts? I am fairly new to vaporizing...
I can "finish" each bowl by doing a couple "pipe puff" sips then a draw, release the button and keep drawing, then re press after about 4 or 5 seconds and continue. More recently I have been getting things dark brown but with no charring. I actually sped up my draw speed a bit from my original...
I tend to "feel" the hit after I have let go of the button already. I preheat for 4 to 5 seconds for the first hit, then hit for about 8 seconds, let go of button and keep drawing. For each subsequent hit I use only a 1 or 2 second preheat. The warmer the unit, the less button pushing needed...
I got the 14 mm waterpipe adapter. Tried it out last night and had amazing success with some big smooth clouds with the dial at about 3 o clock. Lovely.
Thanks! I saw in the video them adjusting the heating element with a tool, so i figured it would be alright :) Amazing what a small difference in alignment made in the heat flow and the performance.
So I took the ceramic heating element, slowly pulled it up and centered it a little bit. Replaced the SG heater cover. The heating element touched the top of the glass. Used your suggestion @Dreamerr, and used the pick to moved it down slightly. Had to do this process twice to get it perfect...
I had mine up higher like that, but couldn't tell if it was touching the glass, so moved it down a bit. Will check results after work. Thanks!
Obviously the view is different because I have the SSV standard heater cover.
I can't try it yet! I have to go to work, and I think the testing process might be a bit much for me to stroll into work. Ha! Hopefully that solves the issue.
I watched this, and pulled up on my heating element. Now when I look in the hole (standard heater cover) I can see the very tip of the heating element. Up high enough?
When I look inside the heater cover hole, the heating element is just out of view, right behind the lip where the glass curves down. Should this be higher? I tried to adjust things last night
I recently received my new SSV and I'm still messing with the temperature setting. I've generally been at around 2 or 3 o clock. My ABV is still pretty light and a bit green at the end. I have used an SSV for years at a friend's, and I have a Firefly vaporizer. With the Firefly my ABV is...
My technique is slightly different from yours, but I couldn't agree more that it becomes very much intuitive and easy once you spend some time with it.
Now I can play video games or casually hit it on the fly. I know how to get it warmed up, how I like to attack the draw speed and you can kinda...
