Because I don't have the "credentials" to pull off a bikini and my beard would get caught in the neck restraint. Lets face it, nobody wants to see that.
I'm just tentatively chilling and watching for now. I don't really have a choice because I'm in Australia and MaxVapor doesn't have a 220V model and Hex-Nail is- well... Hex-Nail is what it is.
I do know what I want, though. I want a deluxe enail controller with tons of functionality and...
This is DOPE.
Really looking forward to seeing what the more tech savvy members of this forum can come up with down the line. I love how open this platform is and I can totally see myself picking up a second unit one day to see just how much I can Frankenstein it into the ultimate controller.
As far as unit size and screen goes, my tastes aren't quite so new-school. I'd prefer a big, solid, industrial looking thing with a large touchscreen display and full on-board functionality a la Hex-Nail Skynet but I can concede that those who share that opinion and are willing to pay the extra...
@maxvapor710 nah mate we're all good now.
Seriously, it's almost comical just how much timing was not on your side.
Hexnail was like this dream combination of elements for an enail PID controller with external connectivity and tweakability where users can dial in their settings and exchange...
Looking good.
Way back before anyone had a reason to doubt Hex-Nail, I'd discussed the possibility of fabricating my own custom stainless steel enclosure for one of their units. This is the type of industrial design that appeals to me for my paraphernalia; stainless steel/aluminum and unmarked...
I don't know how I managed to miss it but yeah, it seems you posted it on the second page. If I had have noticed it I would have saved myself a pretty substantial rant. But that was what I was looking for and it's a nice looking, well assembled unit.
Thanks I appreciate that. It has a slightly rougher look than what I'm used to with anodized aluminum so I'd assumed that the image on the website of the internals with the chassis in the backgroud was actually a 3D printed prototype. That was one of the biggest issues for me... not having a...
@maxvapor710 I appreciate your presence back in this thread.
Is there any way you could post a pic of one of the aluminum chassis of the new units? I'm guessing that they haven't been manufactured yet or you would have, but if that's the case I'd appreciate it if you could explain why a user...
I don't feel that it was ever their intention to scam anyone. I think they always planned to satisfy existing customers with the product as was promised and to make good on new orders. I just think the financials got out of hand and then they lacked the fortitude to be up-front about that...
This feels different to the Hex-Nail saga to me.
I never invested money into the Hex-Nail so I can understand why anyone who did is pissed off with the Hex girls but I'm more inclined to cut them some slack. We're not all cut out to be entrepreneurs with that Steve Jobs level ambition and...
I have to admit, the radio silence has got me looking for reasons to be skeptical at this point.
On that note, I'm having a hard time figuring this thing out. The website lists the 2018 version for which they're taking pre-orders as the fifth iteration of the MaxVapor enail. Preceding this...
Excluding the shell, I reckon you could get the parts for well under a hundred bucks if you were savvy enough. If you factor in the cost of hot glue you're looking at a small mortgage, though.
I'd love to hit you up for a test unit but tbh I don't think I'm going to be much use to you. I'm not as much of a power user as most here when it comes to concentrates. If you're just after someone to confirm it runs down under on the 240V Australian grid then by all means I'd be happy to...
@JigMelon Sensational work, man.
I'd absolutely DIY a unit with decent components and a screen if at all possible. Huge props to anyone with the expertise to make that dream a reality.
This just got very interesting.
No, we're on the same 220V EU standard, we just have a different plug.
Edit: Just to clarify, when I said dual power outlet I meant to run two coils at once, not dual power from the wall outlet.
