Yeah, I've heard of some inconsistencies with the caps and IH reading... This is probably due to fluctuations in the amount of material in the cap, low temps are thicker and click earlier. Try an old 19M cap if you have it.

Message me on Instagram @tukatukera The heat times depend on your heat source but it is veery similar to TRWW glass caps, color change indicates ready. Caps sit tight due to an o-ring at the very bottom (with clearance to not get hot annd not in the vapor path)

As I mentioned above, the tech is to ride the jetstream of hot air way above the flame for even roasts at amazing temps. Closer to the flame will be hotter and I would not recommend inhaling the flame into the tube as I've seen peeps do with their torches where they get real close to the intake...
