@eyevape Sounds like you’re having plenty of fun! How did you pack it to clear it in one hit? What settings? The least I’ve managed is 3 rounds at level 5 25sec. I think there’s extra convection in this mode as the AVB comes out slightly lighter than session mode by the time it stops giving vapour

    Anvil by Vestratto

Not only do they look the same but they are the same dimension wise. I actually prefer running an SS DV screen in my condenser to the Vestratto ones. They’re less likely to bend and warp and also easier to acquire where I am
  3. PrematureEvaporation

    Tornado by Vestratto

How are you finding the difference in heating from Tornado to anvil? It almost seems that the Tornado needs less heat? Additionally, I remember you saying you didn’t notice much of a difference “gram for gram” in effects and flavour between the two. Is that still the case?

I’d have probably written it less aggressively considering it’s probably some low level employee with little to do with their decision makers that has to read and respond to you. I always try to bare that in mind when I’m speaking to any CS and my frustrations begin to bubble over. I get your...

Isn’t it refreshing that there’s a company out there who actually explain what specific issue their error codes pertain to ;) I’ve not had a single error so far. Fingers crossed that remains the case

Totally agree with all this. Do not worry about the smell. If you’re worried about safety there’s tear downs online which will show there’s nothing to worry about off gassing in the air or vapour path. If you don’t want to use the screens you can tear off chunks of buds which works great to...

It’s funny you say that as I recently smoked a spliff with a friend that still combusts. It was disgusting.. tastes like how an ash tray smells. I guess when it was all I knew I had no other reference point to compare taste wise, but as soon as I did I think it was certainly another point of...

Oh I see what you mean now! That makes more sense. Yes the tobacco adds an extra layer to the problem for sure. Here in the UK we smoke spliffs (weed and tobacco mixed) and my experience (12 year now ex heavy smoker) is that I can feel similar effects with certain conduction/hybrids. The main...

    Arizer Solo 3

Personally I’ve yet to find a setup with it that offers any unique utility to me. It’s sort of in a “one foot in one foot out” situation between being a session and actually on demand. It’s sort of a fun novelty to me but I wouldn’t miss it if the S3 was session only either IMO if it had...
  10. PrematureEvaporation

    Tornado by Vestratto

Yep, a bit of controlled conduction totally helps with vapour production. I agree. Also, a lot of convection heaters need time to “spool up” so when a hybrid produces good vapour in the first pull that is typically the conduction doing the work. Another thing is when you run conduction heat...

I disagree with this, specifically the “Solo or likely any really” being unable to solve the problem of having a high tolerance and needing a certain high before you can switch over full time. I’m from a similar combusting and tolerance background to @RAMMSTEIN and you can absolutely make the...

    Arizer Solo 3

I seem to have settled on exclusively higher temps - 210-215-220 are my session presets. I really like the upfront “flavour punch” and the stony effects. I’ve tried the low temp lifestyle but I seem to prefer the bite of higher temp vapour and general intensity of the experience. Up to a point...
  13. PrematureEvaporation

    Tornado by Vestratto

I think the days of convection snobbery are mostly past us now, which is nice to see. I think the high quality conduction/hybrid portables we’ve been blessed with the last few years have shown the value of properly done conduction to a wide audience

    Tornado by Vestratto

Go back and watch those wand videos that impressed us all, there’s 100% a good bit of conduction going on. There’s some decent wisps of vapour coming out when he pulls it out of the wand. Like how a DV does from under the cap when you get that perfect slow roast

    Which vaporizer? TM2 - Solo 3 - Tempest?

Good luck! I agree with others and think you’ll enjoy it. Dynavaps were my first love and the only thing that’s given me that experience but better is the Anvil and S3. Also the TA, but that’s not as automatic and you need to get good at timing the convection and conduction heating just right to...

    Which vaporizer? TM2 - Solo 3 - Tempest?

I find it’s a lot nicer at higher temps when you use a cooling stem and unground nugs for better airflow, or take advantage of the included WPA and run it through a hook or glass piece
  17. PrematureEvaporation

    Which vaporizer? TM2 - Solo 3 - Tempest?

I think of the 3 options you listed and given what you say about enjoying the dynavap, I would say the Solo is the right choice too. Especially if you’re an ex combuster looking for effects as close to that as you can. The TM is capable of a bigger initial head rush but once that relatively...
  18. PrematureEvaporation

    Arizer Solo 3

Yes they do. All of the Arizer Solo and Air glass stems are compatible with any of the products from those lines. I think it’s only the argo stems that aren’t.
  19. PrematureEvaporation

    Tornado by Vestratto

Possibly. Could also be due to differences in heat application or loading more than you would in the anvil without realising. Seems it has more convection potential too. There’s also less vapour condensing with that new full length copper core keeping everything hot I’m always fascinated that...
  20. PrematureEvaporation

    Tornado by Vestratto

I find it interesting how the general consensus is splitting into two groups as more of these are getting into people’s hands. Seems like one group is saying it hits harder and for longer than the anvil, and another group saying that they’re pretty similar I wonder why that is..
