Got my MD haze last week as well and figured I'd chime in. Mine had a little odor/taste the first few loads, but it is totally gone now. I "burned off" all the screens and cans by gradually going from 1 up to 4 and leaving it there (for a safe time) but saw no smoke or vapor when doing so...

@t-dub - thanks for your response, those are some serious purifiers! I don't quite share your level of concern on the topic, so I'm not sure I'd spring for those for daily use. $100 for a pair of filters is quite a bit when you have aquifer water on tap and don't loose sleep over trace...

@t-dub - what type of filter are you talking about? Most typical household water filters aren't fine enough to take out bacteria and viruses...

I would imagine that it will drop again on MassDrop. I took off the finishing grinder and ended up paying like $160 shipped or so. If you don't mind waiting, you could save some serious $$$ going that route.

Thanks for the response Scott, the posts after mine ended up being most fortuitous! That d020 is an absolute steal compared to brick&mortar prices. I'm thinking of getting that and just doing a whip so that I can keep the haze horizontal. Having the option to do dabs would be a big plus too.

I'm looking forward to my first MD - a Haze 2.5. Having only used concentrate pens (Atlas) and dabs, I'm a bit of a novice in the Vaping word. I'm hoping the Haze will be the step up that I'm hoping for and the dry herb option will be a big plus. For the most part, it will just see home...
