The decarb function has worked great for me. I would start by doing what is easiest, simply put your herb in the MB2 and press the buttons. No need to make it more complicated. The machine was designed to handle it all and so far it has worked that way for me.

You might try putting it in the freezer for about 5 minutes. I haven't tried it but I do that when my herb is too damp for a good grind. It makes the damp sticky stuff much more brittle and it grinds really easily. It might help in a similar way for your situation.

Sorry, would love to help but i have not done anything with glycerin or ABV. I have lots of ABV but I have better stuff to use so I use that. So far I'm just a resource for the butter making. Plan to do coconut oil for gelatin capsules soon.
