This is the answer. I love my Cricket, but I would never recommend it as a first device. The Puffco Pivot is perfect with its smaller bowl, MUCH easier cleanup, and dead simple operation.

Those rings are a special high temp compound. Remember these orings must be able to take whatever heat setting the coil is set to, including a long duration heat soak. A normal black buna-n oring won't cut it. And trying to source high temp orings in small amounts from a manufacturer is $$$$.

Did everyone who put in warranty requests for o-rings get theirs? I got my confirmation on the Sept 20th and radio silence. E-mailed them a couple of days ago and still nothing.

Completely understand. :lol: I use one of these and got just over 4 minutes last time I bothered to time it. I soak it in ISO to get rid of any lingering lubricants first, and now I just soak the whole lid in ISO as needed. Pretty decent tolerances too. Just a tiny bit more slop than the one it...

Thumbs up for the Micro Hybrid Bowl! It rocks! I lowered my temps as it seems to be more efficient at extraction. Little bit harder to load with the smaller opening, but I just need to find the right scoop. This should be the default for set, with an optional full bowl!

Awesome! Very much looking forward to it! I played around with the current grinder and machined a 22mm OD sleeve to fit two 10x15x3 bearings in the lid, and another 10mm OD sleeve to fit over the post. A single bearing showed similar rocking to the stock, but 2 bearings completely got rid of...

If it's going to be bigger, might I humbly suggest 2 bearings in a thicker lid with a sufficiently lengthened post? It'll get rid of a lot of the rocking play from the single bearing setup.

Got my Anvil today, and wow this thing hits like a truck! So happy I decided to splurge. And the best thing? I'm happy to announce that the Dr Dabber Switch works absolutely amazingly as an induction heater for the Anvil. The Anvil stands upright on its own in the Switch, and a cold start...

It looks good, but unfortunately, I'm finding the titanium bowl and aluminium ring (more so the aluminium) pulls too much heat out of the air stream. I have to run the Screwball hotter to get the same effects. I've gone back to using the 14 to 18mm glass adapter as a dosing cap holder for now...

Finally got around to making a spacer for my S&B Dosing Caps. The cap friction fits flush with the spacer, and the spacer sits on the edge of the first screen groove. Next to air tight. Need to upgrade my mini lathe someday so I can make this stuff with titanium.

I've been doing the exact same! Good to know others out there doing trying this. Makes things super convenient being able to use the same caps with my Screwball, TM2, and Venty. I run mine at 475f and I get 2-3 big pulls, with the 3rd getting popcorny. The 14 to 18 adapter works well, but...
