Yeah I hear you, I've dabbled in some prototyping alone and it can be a money suck. I heard back from him very quickly on the email, I hadn't seen it before so I used the contact page. He's sending a replacement part or grinder but either way I'm grateful as well as feel for him.

Yeah, I hope he didn't just say, fuck it, with all the problems this batch had; which does suck for him, I feel bad. But mines unusable, I'm thinking of melting some shellac flakes and applying it to the rim as a food safe way of making the bottom at least friction fit again. But it hardens so...

Yeah that's why I scraped the stuff of my rim because I thought it was weird that there was a glue like substance along the product at all. But I guess it's outside the area any plant matter would touch and I'd rather that than what it is now and not being usable at all.

Well looks like you have the opposite problem, your magnetization of the bottom and middle plate was too strong and mine has none. So would you say your bottom piece felt like it snapped onto the middle piece with the same strength as the top piece does? Mine felt like a weak friction fit but...
