on the federal level, cannabis is a schedule 1 substance, and the definition of that is that it has no accepted medical use, schedule 2 means its heavily regulated, but has accepted medical use, and sch2 or sch3 is where it belongs if in any of the schedules, the current drug laws are ridiculous...
