Depends. If the pros (China?) can't get it right and a big percentage of failures are stemming from that, then it's money will spent as they must be dishing out a lot of $s in warranty claims. This plus the tweaks made in order to mass produce the heaters are my guesses for massively long delays.

At the rate that units are being shipped, they should've just left the original heater design alone and found another way to up production numbers. I'm assuming Buzz's pre production unit works flawlessly with no red hot back end?

Yes they are. My guess is that it'll happen once orders can be shipped more instantaneously rather than having to wait 2 or more months for someone to receive their order. GH also hasn't officially confirmed how much more their units will be priced at in the future.
