ok, so all the cleaning searches just come up with screen and mouthpiece cleaning. underneath my trench is accumulating a river of oil... I use it all the time... do I need to worry about this? or should I just let it build up and forget about it? it also heats up during use and causes the box...

I've found, in the vape world, you get what you pay for. I think this piece has its own thread... users said it combusted more than it vaped... I've read bad things about the lighter... and its longevity--cheap because you have to buy one every-so-often.

so I think I need to clean my box... there's a glimmering layer of darkened oil on the base of the box... and after a trench, it starts to REALLY heat the bottom of the box... I've tried kind of pushing a paperclip/toothpick around the base... I get little scrapes of darkened goo here and there...

you should check out the pollen press thread... for $25 you could get a clay extruder from Michaels and it makes pressing much easier... plus, with the extruder, you can save your oil for its own use, as the etruder will press the keif into hash cakes... I save up a gram and press... gets about...
