I don't even bother using it on 18mm joints. I have to use an 18mm->14mm adapter.

I get it stuck inside as well but only when I let the unit cool off first. I just put it upside down in a metal mason jar lid and smack it down on a desk or padded surface. One smack when it's still hot, three smacks if it's cooled down and stuck.

Yea, under $100 for that tube is an awesome deal. I've seen tubes like that go for as high as $200. Pyrex/Borosilicate is key since it is harder to break. For your next purchase, you should look for something with a perc in it. The natural one, just has the smoke bubble through the water to...
