Best dry herb vaporiser for mouth to lung vaping? Ideally with an intake hole that can be covered?

As far as smoking vs vaping flavor, this one comes up a lot too. I think I finally figured it out like a year ago. I truly believe now, there’s a unmistakable “weed” smell and taste, almost primal, that comes from smoking. And I’m not talking about the “terpene hit” we get from vaping. I now...

One of the best edible experiences I ever had was blending an infused chocolate bar into vanilla ice cream for a milkshake. Flavor was easy to get down too. I can't even remember the last time I was that stoned. I should try the maltodextrin for absorption, ever since I tried nano...

If you were in charge of stocking a head shop with vaporizers which would you choose?

That XMAX V3 Pro sounds like the one to get. Price is generally very important in these scenarios - both to the retailer stocking a new MFG, or a consumer buying their first vaporizer.

Yeah I like the option of being able to adjust the potency so easily using liquids. Makes it easy to get multiple doses from the same batch. Powders seems like it might work well for lower tolerance users who aren’t approaching the same MG limits, but I can totally imagine the digestion being a...

I’ve never tried just using straight decarbed flower powdered up. I’ve always been curious about it though cause it’s so simple.

Yeah but Kanthal has a known resistance curve and the display numbers could just be arbitrary to reflect that like many devices. At least that’s how the Pax Era and others works. Id be more doubtful that a $100 vape had a discrete thermocouple, but maybe? The Tafee Bowle does, but IME most...

Yeah I have done the plywood method, and it definitely saves me time filling, but it seems the big appeal to the filling stations is that you can put all the lids on in one move which the wood method was missing. I’m curious why @shredder didn’t like his. I’ve looked at them before, but looking...

@shredder do you use a capsule filler? Getting bored of going one by one, biggest annoyance is putting the dropper down every fill to add the cap when I know I could get a big syringe and fill the whole tray at once. I figure I already like these cause I’m lazy, might as well pump it up a...

Is the heating element a common ecig coil type design which causes varying performance based on differing resistance of the stock coil? That’s pretty common and could explain different performance at the same temps across multiple units.

That’s sort of what the 1.7 was positioned as, a purpose built ball head for coils. IMHO the dimples have little benefit in an enail coil setup though as the dimpling affects the roundness of the part which affects the coil contact/heat transfer. I might just bring back the 1.7 with some minor...

Best dry herb vaporiser for mouth to lung vaping? Ideally with an intake hole that can be covered?

Does boiled chicken ever taste like fried chicken? 🍗 Make sure you use your vape on full temperature to closer mimic your smoke hits. With the Mighty, I suggest inverting a dosing capsule lid and placing it on top of the herb, this encapsulates the herb with conduction with convection...

@Farid remember this one? I knew that was a good idea!! Man I’m always striking out on the dab gear, between sapphire inserts, bottomless bangers, now the expanded surface banger 😂😂 To the drawing board!

It's probably been my favorite on demand convection I've used as well. The only thing I didn't like in the one I borrowed was a central hot spot, and from what I understand Alan's already addressed that with a fix. Dense vapor at low temps, almost reminds me of a Brick the way it can pull nice...

That reminds me of an observation I had about heater efficiency - a lot of people claim to want the benefits of IR heat - in which a more efficient heater isn’t really the solution. Interestingly, its those less efficient heaters that generate considerable radiant energy and create more of an...

😃😃😃 “there I go, right off the precipice, following the footsteps of no one else!” The flowerpot is great, even in standard configuration it’s never ran out of power on me ever. I think people just like making their heaters more efficient, which lets them achieve the same results at a lower...

Best dry herb vaporiser for mouth to lung vaping? Ideally with an intake hole that can be covered?

That’s pretty common. IMO vaping is more potent than smoking - that’s why it often feels weaker. This is something I’ve pondered for a while as a potential cause of VAS. Theoretically, A stronger hit could actually build tolerance and sensitivity faster, making vaping seem weaker to more...

IMO if it was made out of glass, the extra right angle would add another pocket of air insulation so I don’t think it would increase the usable heated surface area much if any. With a different material it would be more effective, but I’d probably save it for a log versus this mini injector.
