Correct. As for other things like "water filtration" please provide proof, before furthering hand me down garbage. Oftentimes, things are repeated so many times that everyone knows them, and water filtration is a perfect example.

Citric acid is pretty cheap in the stores, go check out the prices. Really you have many low pH options for removing hard water salts though, vinegar has been used for quite some time. You could make a solution with citric acid and sodium chloride, that should be effective enough.

I get the same problem with the supreme. To eliminate variables, try an antihistamine like cetirizine to determine whether it is allergy related.

There are ways of reducing solvent usage, like doing three washes, and using only a small amount for the first two, and then a soak for the last wash. Though that may not be the reason you use so much, I thought I'd throw it out there.

To the OP, have you tried to use the warm water technique? Do you have asthma? Especially hot-cold sensitivity? Have you experimented with different varieties, possibly ones grown in different conditions? Have you experimented with temperatures? Have you experimented with inhalation techniques...
