My stem doesn't get hot to the touch at all, barely even warm actually. The J-Hook does get pretty warm, but still not even close to uncomfortable temps... Edit:@ollent I just noticed you have the short stem and I have the long, maybe that could be why we are experiencing such different results?

I'm finding that the lower the lighter is on fuel, the higher I have to turn up the flame to get it to ignite. Is this normal? And does the lighter need to be completely empty before I can refill it, or can you "top it off"? Are there any other recommended torches that can operate really well...

Agreed. The Vapolution is my only vape that is guaranteed to be used every evening. I use the Plenty when I'm looking to treat myself to an extended session, when I have company, when I want to use a whole bunch fast, or when I'm looking for a really dense hit. It also handles an herb and...

And in all honesty, conservation is definitely not something this vape does by nature, it's more something you have to be proactive about. So there are surely better options around if conservation is of high importance, but the Plenty does a lot of other stuff right!
