To anyone having sputtering issues with their lighter, that's usually due to air bubbles in the gas chamber. Bleed the lighter dry before you refill next. Once the tank is bone dry (as you can get it) refill all the way with a great quality butane...I use vector and love it. All my lighters...

Everyone will have their own preferences about the distance to the face, the way I use it I feel no heat on my face and it's super easy to see exactly where to point the flame. I will also mention it's the most even browning I've gotten from any glass piece...probably because it's small enough...

Small tip for users just starting out with the Lotus: I have found, unlike many other vaporizers, the stickier the bud = the better the vapor is. It's probably because I use a pretty high setting on my torch, and I'm getting way thicker, tastier clouds with sticky top shelf bud versus dried-out bud.

I've really been enjoying vaping spliffs with my WPA and bubbler lately. Taking some herb and mixing with tobacco creates a really cool buzz along with the high that's very stimulating. Found some organic, all-natural tobacco at leafyonly.com if anyone likes tobacco. Tastes great, too :D

Would not be surprised if they discontinued the short stem, it really makes no difference. I have both of them, and use the longstem most often. It can still fit in your pocket, it's easier to see the plate, and as silly as it sounds it looks better.
