Interesting about MAPP gas mentioned in the ELEV8R instructions. "MAPP gas creates too hot of a flame and can ruin the integrity of the borosilicate glass". I suppose there is a temp that lab testing determined to be pushing some limit.

Hey guys, completely amazed by the ELEV8R I just got. Sadly I just noticed a centimeter long crack in the heater tip. Does anyone know if it's safe to keep using with all the intense heat cycles? Wondering about the structural integrity of the glass when damaged. :(

Reporting some great news. Got my EVO back today from VXL repair. They fixed a rattling mesh screen, and the strange odors and 'hair dryer' taste is GONE! After some 11:00 dry hits of Strawberry Cough (for testing purposes), it tasted divine. A huge shout out to VXL CS for their professionalism...
