    Yup, works with hash too

    Vestratto Tornado heating tips

Right!? Also, because of the construction and how the copper is sandwiched, I have the impression that the heat distributes fastest from that spot.

I tear off nugs, never happened that way. My anvil is screenless too

I never use screens. I too use a pipe cleaner + iso. One of the beauties of the Tornado is that cleaning it is so simple.

Go for it. Avoid the little holes. This thing can take a lot of heat.

If you torch, don't torch into the holes.

I agree with you on the heat distribution. You need to let it even out, and it distributes around the device very fast.

25.5V is ideal for me. I give a 2 second touch at the logo, then draw a line along the oven of 2 seconds. From cold, that's a very terpy hit. Another 1 second touch gets me to click. And from there I try to surf the heat retention, restoring temperature with a 1 s touch here and there, until...

So this thing is easier to control with large heat sources? I really like that. Seems counter intuitive. The Anvil tended to combustion for me with too large a flame. Volt volt volt, Roffa! Oh dear. 25V. It goes to 28V I had to unlearn my Anvil technique to stretch the use of the Tornado...

I'm at 25W, V around 5 seconds edit: just blast the thing. I´ve become bolder and bolder. And paradoxically, the heating up seems better controlled at full throttle.

I believe it's an engineer's tunnel vision and focus on the technical solution, which is an impressive one. I believe that's what tripped Vestratto up with the Forge too. Electronics is such a different ballgame. And it needed to do all kind of complicated things. That's a tall order to get...

May I ask why? It has no bearing on the functionality at all.

I'm not focused on the rattling and I wasn't aware it is an issue.

Just make sure to back off a little from screwing it down tight. I torch the tornado all the time. No problem if you are a little mindful.

If only I knew what I know now..

Looking back, I could have found FC earlier. It's this place that got me into artisanal vaporizers. I started my journey at the Pax and S&B end. I found out that I like supporting new makers even if things don't always go slowly. And for me the bleeding edge is at butane vapes. So I meandered...

Inductor progression. I like the 26W setting. Heating is very quick, a 1 second blast here and there and you can surf the Tornado's heat retention. With the inductor you can heat directly over the holes. That's my favorite spot now.

I think my theory is that you need less direct heating of the oven. It shortens the heat up time.

I increased wattage bit by bit and I'm now at 26 W and interesting possibilities. Now that I can spot heat the letters, I'm finding out that this determines the color of the roast. Shorter first warm up is lighter. Camouflet warns against wearing jewellery while Inducting. If you wear a...

PPS: very convincing. If you're waiting for the Forge, the Inductor is certainly something you should consider. IMO it does up the game because it gives you very short direct cooking times. And it's possible to preheat the gasifier only. Admiring once more the impressive feat of engineering that...
