Take the stem out. Loosen the bottom torx screw just a little so the metal plates move slightly. Gently twist the plates in opposite directions only moving them about a half mm each direction. Then adjust the wood body back in place with the top and bottom plate and tighten the torx screw...

If you still have battery life, Try heating the chamber a couple of times to loosen the resin that is holding the ceramic plates together.

That charred ring is the shape of the heating element and is completely normal. Usually slowing down your inhalation slightly will decrease the charring.

Contact them. They can reach out to DHL and file and insurance claim and get reimbursed by DHL. Also, they will most likely immediate ship u another new unit to compensate you. Not sure why you would just let this go?

IMO, this is not related to a contact issue as when that is an issue, the opposite occurs and you won’t get enough heat to vaporize. Seems the calibration is set too high if it’s combusting.
