@Frederick McGuire I definitely see what your saying about perc placement. getting a mouth full of water does seem like a possibility. Personally i find fixedstems harder to clean because of the additional 90 degree angle where the stem meets the perc. obviously not a deal breaker just my :2c...

@OrdinaryJoe the key difference is that the g18 is a fixed stem and the d021 is stemless as @ataxian said a fixed stem will be more fragile and more difficult to clean.
