The axial magnets works on the exact measure of 10mm in diameter, because is the same size of the VC. If is bigger, the cap tends to go to one side, i guess... The diametrical ones magnetize the cap just in the middle regardless his measure

Sorry if i make a mistake, but i have the idea that the VC is mostly a convection vaporized (acording George words, the air is heated when cross the hot cap). A bit of conduction, but definitly a convection vap... :hmm:
