    Dreamwood Glow

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, just what I was hoping for. I thought I might as well share my articfox profile to show my thanks, even though I haven't used it with glass stems yet, I honestly don't think I will need to alter this much after using it the past few weeks with the wooden...

    Dreamwood Glow

Got myself a Glow to replace my broken Impcog. Seems very well made, especially the deck compared to the impcog. No hexbolts is a plus for me, given how the impcog got broken. Already put some stock SS316 coils in and I'll feel much safer changing coil setups, if I want to really get it...

Quick update: I got the right size screw extractor/easy out bits from aliexpress but I can't seem to drill through that wedged piece of metal from the screwdriver. Which is necessary for the extractor to get deep enough to bite onto something, to begin backing it out. I think I've given up...

I looked on aliexpress(that new search by image feature is really helpful, used the picture in my last post) there's nothing close to the diameter needed in the results. If the mod was shipped with batteries, it could have just been that. They can be funny about those. Like I said though, it is...

I suppose you have point. A higher TCR value will have a similar effect. I think had read what the range should be for the impcog here somewhere when I bought it and used that as a starting point. Think some people were saying TCR 110 and TCR 120 which was way too low for mine with the cold...

Well, it was nice while it lasted. RIP my impcog. I have not been having the best luck the past few days in general, even before this happened. Not even sure what to do now. I've rigged the housing of the impcog up(o-rings), with a 85mm glass stem where the coil chamber used to be. Which I...

Yeah, I did try and make it clear at the start it wasn't a post for everyone. I agree with most of that, some people don't bother with temp control at all for these kind of atties. Dreamwood ship theirs with kanthal coils. Stempod did too if I remember right. I just prefer to have it because you...

Not really a worthwhile update, more of a musing about what temperature I should be aiming for and getting more accurate/true to life temperature readings on the device. According to this guy who has vape equipment that does have accurate temp readings out of the box(Volcano etc): 374F is the...

Shame that. Dreamwood Glow seems the closest to it. I've never tried it though and the Glow 14 doesn't seem to be in stock, which leaves the larger Glow 18. I'd still go for the Glow 18 provided it fits my mod, swapping out the kanthal coils for some SS316 ones should be pretty straight...

I had to get a new mod, after my Joyetech Espion developed a problem with the battery readings on one side. It's getting harder and harder to find Arcticfox compatible mods now, sadly. Thankfully, I managed to get a Pico 25 from France, for a decent price. It's only single battery but I'm...

Spare coils. I was trying to match the exact wire but nowhere seemed to have it, all out of stock. Yeah that's fair enough. Like I said though, who knows what the real temp is. The mod is estimating the temp based on the settings you put in(changes in current/resistance etc). It's not...

Yeah, if you've checked the contact screw of the impcog and that looks ok, that's probably just what the resistance of your coils is. Dave may have found the exact coil gauge he used when he started harder to find in the last batch. I couldn't find any when I tried to get spares. My max vaping...

A quick update about the config file: Although I've been using it myself at the weekend without any problems, when I cleaned up my config file before uploading(removing the profiles for other atties etc), the pi-reg settings didn't copy over to the profiles they replaced for some reason. So you...

That seems a bit low for the stock coils. I noted down somewhere that 0.22 is what the resistance is supposed to be(probably read that somewhere on this thread), I'm not sure if that's the cold reading or the recommended resistance setting from mistvape/dave. I suggest you check the contact...

I would r I would recommend the generic 14mm OD High borosilicate glass tubes I found on Ali. 50mm works fine. 100mm and 200mm+ available on the same link(5pieces per order). 80mm works well too if you like it a little cooler. 40mm and 120mm available on the same link(10 pieces per order). I...

So, I've tried two different silicone O-Rings with a 2.5MM CS. 14mm ID and 13mm ID, both of which were too big, to my disappointment. The 13mm was surprising, as that should have gave it a 18mm OD(same as stock). Perhaps this is because the o-ring is thicker and doesn't sit quite as far back as...

Ordered a couple of silicone O-Rings the other day. Couldn't find any 13.5mm ID ones as I'd hoped(always the way) and I thought 13mm would be too small, so I've gone for a thicker cross section(2.5mm and 3mm) which hopefully means it wont be seated as far back as the stock one was. I cannot...

Let me know how you get on with it. With your different profiles, do you also check the device monitor while you're using it(empty chamber), to see if the voltage and temperature reading stay pretty stable(no big spikes or drops)? Or are you just judging it by how good the hits are?

Ok, so I ended up having to remove the screw to measure it. Tried chiselling a grove for the screwdriver to get purchase but in the end some needle nose pliers worked. I measured the contact screw at 18mm long, the screw diameter 2mm and the head diameter 5mm. I also removed the O-Ring while I...

Yeah, it's my go to atomizer now anyway(hence why I'm buying spares, as I want to keep it working for a while). I think most of the wear was there when I bought it from the previous owner, hopefully it's an easy part to replace.
