This happens on mine at times, though I can’t say if it’s my RBT vapes or the different stems. I think it has to do with very slight imperfections in the glass and/or placement of the screen in the stem.
Anybody have suggestions on how to clean up a wood stem? Accidentally combusted in my milaana yesterday while using a maple stem from Ed and now every stem-ful tastes like that burned load (not good taste). I tried a q-tip with iso but not much success as the cotton gets stuck along the inside...
Can anyone offer up some safety precautions with the Milaana and 18650 batteries? Other than making sure we take good care of the batteries and protect them when not in use, what are some other safe guards to be aware of? Every time I go to buy some batteries I get the sense I’m not being as...
I find the Splinter V1/2 on a small Mod like the Wismec RxMini is actually quite compact. And you can take the whole thing apart it’d be pretty tough to know exactly what it is unless you’re privy to it.
Throw the stem in a 18650 battery tube and you have a fairly portable, high-power set up.
Hey man. I agree on the whole cruise thing; Haven’t used my RBT vapes in cruise at all since I acquired any of them because I thoroughly enjoy the on-demand feature. When I feel like doing a session I’ll fire up the Crafty, instead.
The V1 was the first round of Splinters with all parts...
These are supposed to be high quality carts. I haven’t tried them personally but have been reading on them.
Be aware that, like brass knuckles, these became popular for fake. Make sure to confirm that you’re getting from a verified source.
The V1 Z will most likely be cheaper since all of his Chinese versions have been slightly lower in price than US “custom” versions (Splinter & cooling stems).
I have both a V1 Splinter and Splinter Z. IMO both are very similar, but my opinion is limited to Wattage mode for both....from what I...
Here’s 19/22 scientific glass joint next to RBT Xl8r Jr. The JR fits in the Splinter V1, the scientific glass does not. The 19/22 joint does work great in Splinter Z.
Also worth noting: the stems sit somewhat deeper inside the glass joints of the Splinter V1 than they do in the Splinter Z and...
Agreed. That’s why I’d like anyone to share when there’s a good sale and the seller is either taking a “loss” or maybe just offering a deal to lure more business :\...might as well be on the lookout for a good deal...especially if it’s something I don’t necessarily need atm.
Lol! Thanks man...
I too have noticed hot-spotting with my Z. What I can tell you is that the grind and packing technique plays a huge role in the end-product abv. The Splinter is simply a heater that can be easily attached to your herb chamber (Stem).
I think a good metaphor would be a J and a lighter: The...
The Z has a bigger heater and intended for putting out a little more power. With that being said, the HSA heaters in both cases are capable of producing a good deal of heat.
I have a 4-hole Z that can be a little too hot on its own through a standard glass stem. I’ve covered two of the holes in...
Your understanding is correct. The V1 is equipped with the shorter/smaller HSA heater from the Milaana and previous Splinter models. The Z shares the deeper/larger heater from the Zion.
If you got a V1 you need to make sure that your stem is less than 19mm length, otherwise it will go too deep into your heating chamber and damage the heater screen at the bottom.
The V1 is the newest Splinter model. Ryan is often upgrading the splinter as he comes up with new developments...
The splinter should not be taken apart so you won’t ever be changing the coil. The screen(bowl) goes into the end of the glass stem that slides into the heating chamber. To clean you can simply pick it out and iso rinse. You don’t want any resins and oils leaking into the heating chamber as you...
