I don't believe there's a USB system that works reliably that we know of yet. The issue is a USB port puts out 5 watts max, and the T1 requires 30 watts. If you search the ThermoVape Evo thread, you will see there were a couple people trying different usb and passthrough systems. None of them...

I can vouch for jeffp's method. It works very, very well :) Just be careful, how much oomph remains in your "leftovers" might surprise you... For this reason I plan ahead so they come out about 1g per brownie. A few of 'em is definitely a step in the right direction for time travel... :science:

And I would recommend you the T1, if you could only choose one of them :) At this point I'm still finding it to give me more consistent performance, and once you get the grind right clogging is almost nonexistent. However, the Evo can be a powerhouse and definitely has its strong points also...

It was your picture with the leather that got me thinking, thanks for that. It's a definite improvement, however I'm still battling getting charred bits at the bottom before the load is done. I'm sure it's just my technique that needs refining, but the hits do seem to come easier with the mods.

Speak for yourself... I actually prefer my T1 at this point in time. Unscrewing the cap, turning upside down and shaking between hits is something I do one handed now without thinking. I do like my Evo, but I haven't been able to pull repeatably good sessions with it like the T1 yet. IMO the Evo...
