Ya I'm not sure why your steel is doing that. I run mine on 7.5 for about 4-5 hours a day. I even cleaned the inside steel with ISO on a qtip and do that regularly to the top of the heater shell.

A long time ago I made some QWISO but didn't filter the thc out of the iso very well and it came out as perfect blonde crumbly hash. I think I'm gunna try it again. I have a reusable coffee filter that would be perfect.
