VAS: Vape Aquisition Syndrome The malady we love to hate

Silver surfer with baller heater and tempest with wand have cleared my purchasing compulsion.... Only curious about the bakx but it can surely wait

    Aerolite Vaporizer by YLLVape

This sounds interesting, but I am a bit confused, it seems they started to develop this model before beginning work on the Angus enhanced, am I correct? Why the two models?

    BAKx - bake all kinds

Is it possible for someone who owns both the bakx and the tempest or other ball vapes to comment on the difference in performance both objective and subjective? This is a vape that has interested me for some time, and I see this as the end game for conduction while ball vapes seem to be end game...

    Venty by Storz & Bickel

Honestly I really enjoy these discussions. I will try to break this down, in terms of different types of discomforts that some vapes can bring according to their materials. There is a fresh tickle that comes from vaping even in the cleanest air and vapor path: this is from the terpenes as they...

    Venty by Storz & Bickel

I also get this tickle from the venty. It is not the same as the crafty, but it is definitely not smooth on the throat like other vapes. However it is not hot like the solo, it really boils down to personal preference but this tickle obviously does not leave me too confident in the materials...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I clean the balls very often and they seem to transfer heat well. As for the tempest's not really so I should give that a try.....

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

From getting the wand and using it at 270c so that the second click happens and the visual indicator is right below the third line, now I have to push it to 350c to get the same result in click, visual indicator, and avb color. This is baffling, I mean, if it was only the indicators then it...

    Venty by Storz & Bickel

I agree that for use outside and group sharing the venty is usually the better option. Especially using the dosing caps. When I say the venty was shelved it is because my use case has been mostly alone and indoors. The wand+tempest in a small waist bag also is quite portable, but not really...

    Venty by Storz & Bickel

I know in general people are crazy about the solo taste Vs the venty. And while it is cleaner at the start, I don't think there is any comparison if one compares the whole session instead of just the beginning. The venty just produces a more consistent taste throughout. The solo tastes fresh the...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I can confirm this. I remember when everything was new, I would set the wand at 270c. Now it is normally around 300c and upping it to 310 when the battery is lower. Also I remember it would time out 5 seconds after the big click but now it clicks right after time out on the wand.

    Silver Surfer Vaporizer

Just wanted to add something that I did not mention before. The ball modded ssv is very versatile in terms of usage and dosage. It can be used to one hit a small amount (the minimum effective dosage is one that covers the screen at the bottom, this will vary depending on your wand system), or it...

Rayon vs. organic/vaping cotton vs. degummed hemp fiber vs. ??? for concentrates. Best choice?

I only use hemp fiber. A small amount can be placed in the hand and mixed with hash broken in small bits, as if it were tobacco, or a dab tool can be "cleaned" of the dab using the fiber and then rolled into a loose ball. I find that hemp fiber is very loose allowing airflow through even when...

Advice on fucking combustion by leveraging filtration to our advantage

Yes my experience is also with tobacco mix. It is not too hard as cannabis is also good for withdrawal from a number of substances, what I outline is just a little push in the right direction. Maybe I was not clear but the three points I make are about the experience of smoking with one or...

Advice on fucking combustion by leveraging filtration to our advantage

Over the years I have gone back and forth from combustion to vaporizing. This last time converting I found a method which I found quite helpful. The idea is to progressively filter the smoke more and more, by using an increasing number of filters (or using filters that filter more thoroughly)...

    Silver Surfer Vaporizer

Reclaim from a pvc whip does not sound too yummy... Meanwhile just wanted to update that I have gone back to the 3mm ball heater cover with 3mm balls. I have to order the 4mm ones to see if they fit in this heater cover in order to form a bottom layer of 4mm balls and try to cover only the red...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

So it's been quite an experience with the tempest during the past week. It has really helped cut down on combustion more so than the other vapes I am using. I hope the following comparison is not out of place but I have a point to make about the importance of form factor. Up until getting the...

    "unchilled highness"

Glad if my perspective is helpful. I know exactly what you are talking about when you say it effects you more in the evening. I don't think I ever experienced negative effects of the sort you describe in the daytime.

    Glass recommendation for SSV

I guess I was just asking for blessings from the glass grandmaster.... Cheers kind sir it really seems to be as simple as that

    "unchilled highness"

I just want to add my 2 cents to this topic, which I see many times being answered in a manner that minimises the effects that the herb has on the human body and tries to look for reasons in anything from the lipids in the wax to the strain and everything in between. While it is true that...

    Glass recommendation for SSV

I have been using the SSV with baller mod through an rbr recycler with a couple of adjustments which make it less than practical: a small piece of silicon tube to make a seal on a whip adapter in order for it to fit in the mouthpiece, and a small weight glued to the underside of the rbr to make...
