This is exactly what I was afraid of. I have 1 glass stem, which will of course break if I don't have a backup (Murphy's Law). So I'm going to order a backup stem, but I also saw (somewhere on this thread) a wood stem which looked exotic with turquoise inlay band. I can't find the post now...
