I just cancelled my Ascent order at EZVapes and joined the Solo massdrop for $119 (which is ending in just 45 mins!).
Just too much negative feedback for this to be my first portable. I'm sure DV will get it right eventually, but I won't be an early adopter. What finally tipped me over are the...
What? Not sure what that means, but I guess it's definitely not meant to laugh at anyone? Right. If you're implying EZV made promises they couldn't keep, I think that goes for literally everyone involved (DV, GV, TV, EZV). Anyway; Done with this; Have a good one.
"Shit out of luck"? Well thanks, that's... very considerate.
We knew EZV wasn't an authorized distributor, but definitely thought *they* were buying from one. At the time we had no reason to suspect that one distributor > other distributors. So EZV customers could reasonably expect the extra...
I saved $60 on my order, including shipping. Of course, had I known about this hierarchy among distributors, I would've ordered elsewhere. Things become a lot easier with 20/20 hindsight.
Anyway, here are some interesting quotes:
I realize EZVapes is buying from this "other distributor" and you can't predict their shipping dates. I'm trying to find out a) when *you* will be shipping to this distributor and b) why this distributor seems to be an afterthought while GV is a "befriended" distributor and TV falls somewhere in...
Sure. Note that they did imply that emails used in the current pre-ordering process would be matched against those used in the pre-regging process. They may or may not actually do that. The only thing I'm commenting on is premeditation and the fact that companies have an interest in making us...
Weighing in on the brewer/nigel/lwien debate:
Companies do have an interest in pleasing their customers -- for reasons of return business, reputation, branding, promotion. They'll want to impress their early adopters during product launches, especially the most vocal among them (FC...
Yeah, pakalolo -- being a stand-up dude while vacationing on Maui no less -- moved it back to the official thread. Here it is -- with our exchange some posts later.
Um.. this one didn't make the cut?
(edit: in response to paka's post below: lol, love it -- thanks -- didn't mean to be a pain -- have a great time on Maui man)
Sure. I went from the current situation (in which no codes were used). They also stated:
Queue position could be inferred from the pre-order timestamp. Anyway -- enough said on this.
Well ordering with an invalid email address *should* result in a message informing you of the validation process. Just telling you how I would do it. I have no idea about the actual process DV will be using.
Why is everyone so angry? I agree this is frustrating, but why focus on EZVapes? For example, on this very page:
They're just telling us what they were told..?
"So timing is unsure for them". Not the fact that they'll be supplied. And afaik EZVapes never "promised" anyone a shipping date. Some guys asked, they said they were looking to ship by the end of the month. Like other vendors told us as well. It wasn't even a selling point for me, by the way --...
You read that wrong. Supply dates for unofficial web outlets are "unsure".
It seems to me that EZVapes acted in good faith and just told us what they were told at the time. You seem to disapprove of people who are sensitive to discounts?
Their IT guy will most likely take the email addies used in pre-registrations and use them as a whitelist in the order form's validation phase. At least, he should. Meaning that you can't even properly submit the order form if you don't use a pre-regged email.
