Except for the performance front end. Retains heat something awful but is easier on the throat as the heat is hitting a larger surface area of the throat

That's good to know as otherwise it would be a one temp vape in the absence of opening the backend a thread or 2, adjusting the dial and closing it again! Unfortunately I have been whacking the dial over and back during operation on my previous grasshoppers which probably didn't help

Thanks man! Anything is worth a shot. I received a new one today purchased from vaposhop.com. So far so good. I does however confirm that I will have to send the older one in when hopper labs gets their shit in order as it's performance is crap compared to my new one
