Those settings will be automatically set by the mod in wattage mode. Press button for 5 seconds, then draw very slowly for 10 seconds to heat up the glass, then draw tightly for 10 seconds to get your first hit. Edit: also I would use 40 watts for ~400 degrees.

Damnit, I think I opened a can of worms. There is surprisingly little information about the material of the dosing capsules. Found a thread and more than a couple of places that speculate that they are made of aluminum...

Thanks for the tips. I had a session last night that was pretty good. When I was emptying the abv though, I noticed how easy the capsule was to disform. The metal is pretty soft I feel, I'm assuming these capsules are made of stainless steel, but I'd like to confirm before continuing use. Thanks.

So, I have similar observations. I'm curious if there is a packing technique for the capsules that works better for convection. Would a lightly packed fine grind work better here? I did find herb particles were getting outside the dosing capsule and in the crevices of the wooden stem's screen...

Got my wooden stem and capsule package yesterday. I missed out on the mediums so went with a short and bent stem with an amaze cooler. So, it was packaged with a short stem vs the bent; I did check the invoice and it indicated I did indeed order a bent stem, but oh well maybe the amaze cooler...

If your were not expecting thin whisps at 200 then turn up the resistance. I pack the elbow and cap it with the basket screen in order to keep particulates out of the heater. I would recommend the same. In my experience the elbow needs to be packed full, coarse, and loosely packed (hand broken...

By the sounds of it your device is fine. I would turn the resistance up a bit from stock, perhaps .003, such that during warm-up the coil faintly glows in the dark but the glow is not visible in normal lighting situations. Then draw very slowly when hitting until you exhale visible vapor; this...

Sorry, I wasn't trying to harangue you. But I'm confident you will get some sort of resolution and probably soon. I don't know if things have changed, but my order came with a stem. However, at introduction FJ included whips, but since, myself and other have happily paid for the hand-braided...

I would reply to your emailed order confirmation. No reason to get everyone here involved, FJ was very responsive and accommodating to my inquiries.

It's two glass pieces: a reducer and a small stem usually hooked up to a whip. The stem and reducer are held together with a clip, but if the clip is in place then the reducer does not sit flush in the TUBO gong. You are supposed to use hemp fiber or sandwiched herb in the chamber. What is nice...

Yes, I suggest the ddave concentration chamber. It doesn't sit flush with the stem clip in place, but operates fine without it.

What I'd like to know it's how increasing the resistance affects the load on the battery and chip? Am I incorrect in thinking that increasing resistance will help the evic reach temp with less of a load on the device? If not, can someone explain how the resistance affects energy distribution?

Yes, from what I understand any temp control subohm mod that can operate at 70 watts can work. Some others have mentioned Arctic Fox with regards to customization. Most want the TUBO custom myevic for the warm-up, cruise, temp-step, and eco functions; I think AF would only work on demand.

Yes, it looks like I grabbed a microsur fork: https://github.com/MicroSur/sur_myevic/blob/master/README.md Definitely an interesting offer. My coding skills are laughably amateur, but I can certainly do a code comparison between the trunk and branch versions. Surely we have some eyeballs in...

NFE Tools recognized the Gen3, then when I went to load the latest mytuboevic firmware i got an error message about compatibility with device. So, no go. I was able to get the latest myevic firmware loaded. I haven't made the effort to see which version of myevic added the Gen3, but a typical...

You are absolutely right. This is certainly a low priority enhancement, and it would seem FJ is not hurting for demand. I'll see how it goes, I have some batteries charging. although, I will concede that I should have tested it before going down this tangent here. Blame the effectiveness of the...

Well, I'm not presenting this out of left field. The TUBOx is a nice piece of kit and if it would be easy to expand device support without abandoning or scratching the current software build 2 things to bear in mind: 1. The Gen3 is an update of the RX300. it is a 300w RX. I'm not sure how...

    TUBO evic/dual

Well, I'm wondering, even if I can't get the TUBO myevic working I should be able to use the mod on demand, right? I see that the gen3 is supported in artic fox and the latest version of myevic, and at some point we need to start exploring other mods for future proofing or devices, right? Seems...

First post. FYI , I got my TUBOx (birch) on March 31, ordered on Jan 23. I was getting impatient there too, but trust you will not be forgotten. I have a VTC Dual powering my TUBOx, and I was running into an issue where my heater was running cold and my Dual would overheat, but it seems the...
