I think so. It is not stated in the instructions, but it has gone off a couple of times while still having battery... I would say about 10 min.

The good news is the price.... The bad news is the date: I just booked a flight to Amsterdam for the last week of march. Doesn't look like my ascent will be with me by that date, specially because I need it sent to Europe.... It's a pity, its long batteries would surely do a great service there...
