@notoriousLrg Definitely not normal. I was hitting 445 and a few degrees above with the unit set on 445 with the fan on in the first cycle. I only had the bottom portion of the bowl on the unit, and the tip of the thermapen was touching the bottom screen. My unit was spot on.

@lazylathe My ABV is much darker when I'm done with it. This pic was only 6 hits in. I will definitely try the pad on top of less material though. I've been meaning to but never remember.

@wax Yes you can! Pelican even makes a TSA approved lock that you can put on the case while you travel and the TSA won't cut them because they can open them, check your items and lock the case again. Plenty of other locks fit too.

If I could fit herbie and my glass in that 1400, I'd buy one now. I just feel like I need a little more space. I actually just ordered a 1750 yesterday, but I'll be using it for something else. They are awesome cases!
