Personnaly, I like 2 different techniques with the Anvil and H: - either at the bottom of the XL bowl with herb on top. The heat accumulated at the bottom of the bowl offers good results. - or alone in the 1/2 bowl to get the most out of the flavors of the H.

I use the same technique as Whiff, i.e. I heat in the hollow above the copper ring trying to stop just before the second click. My main concern is when I forget that it's the Xl bowl installed and I heat it like the classic bowl.:doh: As I have 2 units, I decided to install the XL bowl on this...

I like to heat hard (1 flame torch) underneath the holes going 1 to 2 sec past the click for good repeated results. the high resistance to draw is less with glass stem than with the wood stem imo. Dani is very reliable.
