Correct. 1/2 or more full works great. Without packing too tight i usually fill the gap created between the 2 screens. For someone who doesn't use super small loads this works. But I experienced the same as lwien with smaller loads.

Some 50 pages back or more in this thread, someone posted a neat trick that I use everyday to improve quality of life while using my LSV. I too worried about herbs dropping into my heater while using the wand. This led to me constantly holding the LSV out in front of me while hitting it. Slap...

The drop down/reclaim catcher was about 45 bucks. It looks kinda crazy from the side like that, but the ergonomics are fantastic when hitting it. It's like looking down the barrel of a gun! Slight flavor degradation due to the fritted perc obviously, but 0 drag and she purrs like a kitten...

Anyone ever use PBW to clean a fritted bubbler? Concerned that some particulate may get caught in the frit or something. Maybe pre dissolving in a bucket or something and pouring in would work better.
