    The HI

Considerably lighter. Without weighing, I'd say maybe 1/4 to 1/3rd the weight of a PD? Obviously weight will vary by wood type, so that only applies to the vapes in my sig. The HI is definitely very light, though; light enough that it's easily muscled around by the cord.

    The HI

I think the HI as it stands could be used just fine in group settings. The key is just to have more tubes at the ready, so that each person has their own stem. The unit really does hold its temperature after multiple hard draws, so there shouldn't be any slowdown as long as everyone has a tube...

    The HI

So far, I've actually only been using the SS tip with the all-glass turbo tube, and I'm loving it so far for direct draw. I should've clarified, the last post I made referred to using this combo. This method has been so effective for me that I have't really had a good reason to try out the 10mm...

    The HI

Full review forthcoming, but one quick note: I'm loving how I can extract so much out of my herb with my HI. I usually start w/ a medium-high temp, brown most of the bowl in one big blast, then raise temp a little and get 3-4 more big clouds out of it (w/ no kief on the bowl). Then, let the...

    The HI

Nope, there was still a good cloud left in that bowl. Bowl was half-full at most, too.

    The HI

So, my Bocote HI just came in the mail. Here are my (EXTREMELY) initial impressions: Gorgeous woodwork. Excellent quality glass. I can confirm that it comes with a bunch of little wax beads, a copper aromatherapy cup, and extra screens. I haven't spent any time dialing in the VV yet, so I...

    14.4mm Glass Bubbler <$100

Still looking folks. Increased my budget to $100. Would that be enough to rattle a few more people's collections?

Question about AI Showerhead Vapor Rig

Thanks for the quick reply Stu. Anyone happen to know of a similarly-priced, stylish-looking bubbler that will work with vapor?

Question about AI Showerhead Vapor Rig

I know next to nothing about glass. Can this AI Showerhead Vapor Rig be used with herb, or is it JUST for concentrates? If it works with both, how do you think it will perform with the HI using an all-glass turbo tube?

    Most efficient vaporizer

Keep in mind that the quality of your herb is going to have a lot to do with this too. lwien, I know from another one of your posts that you exclusively purchase top-quality, $65/eighth medical bud. With mids, that gram certainly won't last you the whole month. I know, because I have a fairly...

    The HI

I would check your local GNC, as well as organic food stores, co-ops, etc. Others can suggest websites, but the benefit of buying locally is that you get to smell the oil before you buy it. All log vapes work well with aromatherapy oils.

Wait for cloud or make the LSV jump?

Hey Mister, I debated between the UD and HI (I already own a PD) and ultimately decided on the HI for: 1)More versatility in tube options 2)Designed to work with variable voltage PS 3)Hotter top-end operating temperature However, you can also go through the entire UD thread and you'll barely...

    The HI

Alan says my Bocote HI will be arriving today (!!!) along with a VV PS, 3" all-glass turbo tube, SS tip, and 10mm glass turbo tube w/ silicone bowl, plus silicone sleeves for the all-glass turbo tube and SS tip. :D :brow: I'll be reviewing the HI only from a direct-draw perspective for now...

I had a silver surfer vaporizer for less than 5 hours

That is, unless one of the boys in blue grows too fond of it while he and his buddies are vaping through your stash down at the cop shop.

The land beyond the LB. Which path should I choose?

Good point OTA, but I should also mention that wood type/density should only be a factor with the UD and the CRZ. With the HI, the heat mass is so small that the wood barely gets warm, and therefore has very little (if not zero) impact on performance. As such, you're free to choose a wood type...

The land beyond the LB. Which path should I choose?

The fact I can't stress enough is that all of the current log vapes cost roughly the same, despite what their websites might currently say. The HI starts at $140, but that's for a barebones package that only includes the vape and a non-variable power supply. Since the variable power supply...

    The White Out.

Happened to me once after a 13+ hour car trip to St. Louis in August. I didn't drink enough water on the way down, didn't eat enough either, and when we arrived at my sister-in-law's place, the thermometer was over 100 degrees. Proceeded to smoke a fat bowl (this was pre-vaping for me) of bud...

The land beyond the LB. Which path should I choose?

If you're looking for big clouds, I'd recommend taking a closer look at the HI. You mentioned that you appreciate the fact that Rick of CRZ has been in business for 10 years, and that's definitely good consumer wisdom. However, we're in a very fortunate situation right now in terms of log vape...
