Try it out. If it works don't worry about it. If it doesn't, get a small drill bit and drill it out. I don't think it is going to affect it much.

I go for taste first. I like to start at 320f and get about 5 or 6 good hits at that temp,bump to 338 for a few hits then go to 358 for daytime medication. That usually lasts me until evening. Sometimes I will empty the low temp ABV into a jar to keep for later at night to get the major sedative...

Your wife is right it smells like shit especially with fresh herb. After the initial hit the smell goes away. And I did get pulled over Christmas Eve and the police officer did not say a thing about smell because I was hitting it when he lit me up so to speak.

If It does what is supposed to do, then what is the problem? Davinci doesn't say it is airtight. All they say is all glass pathway. If it works and you are getting medicated then be happy. mod note: Edited to fix quote tags.

The cotton is talked about all through this forum. From what I have read, the organic cotton works just fine.

I gu I guess I got the good one. There are absolutely no leaks with or without the glass stem. There are not any seams showing and the glass screen fits extremely tight.

I have looked on the inside of my carbon fiber unit and I do not see any signs of overlap of the silicone. To me it looks one piece. I can hold my finger over the glass straw and blow and it is very difficult. I can also take the tubes out and cover the hole and blow and it seems air tight also...

They will not pay return freight. Unfortunately it is new technology and there will always be bugs in anything new. I am on my third one and considering buying another one for a spare. When it works it works great. I could have waited but didn't, so I am not complaining too much.

There is actually a 2 year warranty on the Ascent.
