I have been using a screen on top of the herb to keep the small bits from getting sucked into my mouth and it seems to work pretty well. Should I be worried about any permanent damage by using a screen?

I use a screen at the top, in the chamber, and have noticed some copper or rust like staining the anodized heating chamber from the metal screen. Is this something I have to worry about? It kind of cleans off with alcohol, but should I be worried that it might do permanent damage and harm the oven?

What is the basket you are using with the dry herb? Who makes it and where did you get? Thanks

Trust me, you cannot go wrong with the Alfa. Its' sooo much better than the pax. The chamber is the perfect size (the pax is too large), it is easy to clean with no maintenance (you have to lube the stem of the pax), and is smaller than the Pax. I think it KILLS the Pax. This thread might have...

You are going to love it. I had the Pax, and this is sooo much better. I have the Firefly as well, and every night I think I'm going to make time with it, only to never put down the Alfa. Just remember to move the screen from under the mouth piece to the bottom of the chamber for better performance.

Yes, SiDankies is right here, the Alfa gives great vapor and taste. After 2 weeks, I am AMAZED at this thing. It does everything great and at $199 is well worth the price.

I just put some grounded product on a small folded piece of paper, (the subscription cards that come in magazines are perfect for this) and let it slide right in. If it overflows, it goes into the chamber under the door, and then its easy to just push it down into the heating chamber

I have all three. I love the Firedly and convection heating. Its just you have to buy two extra batteries and the charger to make sure you won't run out on your session. You have to factor that into the cost
