    Dynavap VapCap

As I am "meme inadequate" compared to stark1, I must say that I had a whole "waiting for the arrival" kind of thing going, and now must just say that I am, well, waiting.... Pics of my plans follow, though....

    Dynavap VapCap

No idea why, but it prompted me to buy the BB3 vs the M during the recent sale. I never found anyone speaking positively about the captive cap.

    Dynavap VapCap

Ahhh, now I understand. Sometimes I am a little slow on the uptake. I am guessing that the lighter is approximately Zippo sized(I carry a Zippo with single jet insert every day), which would put that case into sturdy iPhone case size range, although no specs are provided. Also, no info on...

    Dynavap VapCap

Isn't that an interesting little beast... But every single review I have found compared it with the M , and none found it to be an improvement.

Not sure if you were talking to me or not, but... The cotton bacon that I use comes in strips, and I just rip off a little chunk and basically form an appropriately-sized cotton ball, at about the same, or slightly less density as a normal cotton ball.

I use cotton(a small, lightly rolled price of vaping wick cotton "bacon") in both my DDave water wand and in a condenser-less '17m. It definitely keeps things behind it cleaner, although both of my cotton pieces are pretty close to the mouthpiece. It also definitely makes the hits less harsh...

    Dynavap VapCap

I have the same insert. Been using it almost daily since the beginning of May. Works juuuuuust fine with my OG '17M. I fill it up like every 4th day. Speaking of my '17M, I have decided that I need to upgrade(as well as pick up a C-Vap to gift out to a worthy soul:D). I have the aforementioned...

Alcohol versus oil extraction for edibles?

Update from my last report. About half tsp of my oil from the second extraction has been a great base for my day. I'd hazard a guess that it's stronger than the butter. It makes me feel like I did something wrong the first time around. Meant to show my 2nd run coconut oil(on left), vs 1st run...

Alcohol versus oil extraction for edibles?

That makes perfect sense. But since my poke still had oil in it, no alcohol extraction here. I took my 30 grams of starting material, which now ended up as about 107 grams after water washing / curing AND attempting to dry it in the oven, and added 1 cup of coconut oil. Left it in the slow...

Alcohol versus oil extraction for edibles?

I do admit that I keep hoping that somebody else has done something/anything like this at some point.... I am keeping this stuff ready for the next few days, and might use coconut oil (keeping the pulp mixed in) instead of MCT. In the name of science...

Alcohol versus oil extraction for edibles?

Update update UPDATE.... lol I made butter with 30g of decarbed sugar trim and popcorn buds. Used 1 lb of unsalted butter. I strained the butter out with a french press, and got 15 oz back. On Thanksgiving, I made some stuffing with 2 tbsp, which turned out great! Anyways.... I took the...

Alcohol versus oil extraction for edibles?

I just realized that I should respond besides "o m g", since I started the thread... I have been using, simply for ease, MCT oil for most of my extractions. Most recently, 2g of some homegrown Northern Lights, properly decarbed. I mixed it with 1/4 cup MCT oil. I know it's not as strong as it...

Alcohol versus oil extraction for edibles?

I have seen ISO recommended a lot for RSO, but right now it's impossible to find in my area. I can go into any liquor store outside of my county and get Everclear 189(or could buy Everclear 151 right across the street). Also, I think the price difference is moot(to me at least) as Everclear...

Alcohol versus oil extraction for edibles?

So far, I've had the most success with 1 watercured abv mixed with some form of mct/coconut oil 2 mixing some semi-sketchy shatter of unknown origin into MCT oil to use as a tincture. Both have produced the desired effect. I have both fresh bud and trim(enough to experiment), not...

Alcohol versus oil extraction for edibles?

ALSO.... I also think that there will/would be less waste, because I would not feel guilty tossing the leftover plant matter after alcohol extraction, but might balk at knowingly throwing away 200mg of edible goodness.

Alcohol versus oil extraction for edibles?

Which do you prefer, and why? By alcohol extraction, I mean rso/super long QWET soak, then reduced to sappy level for infusion to oil. From my reading, it seems like the general consensus is that 1. Oil(coconut/olive/mct/etc) extracts about 80% of the goodies with a thorough soak. 2. Butter...

    Water curing AVB

I did about 7 cycles of a moderately warm water wash with a french press in my last batch of abv for coconut oil. You can't taste the abv at all, and zero gastric issues.

No. Because that would make sense. It still is wide open, airflow wise. Still trying to figure out how to get reclaim out of it. ETA: I have also now added a small piece of cotton into the end of the chillum. Has helped a lot with smoothness of the vapor.
