I tried this today with a two day old stem, san the hot water. A rinse, a few puffs of air and it was good to go.

Put it in the WPA and use the Solo upside down in a water piece or J-hook. For that little material I think that gravity is going to be your friend.

My concern was water dripping into the oven. I tried what you said tonight after giving the stem a good blow to ensure there was not any excessive moisture. I am a convert, thank you!

I have both. The Venty has been problem free for me (if you ignore the logo fading). I'd still get the Solo 3. It is really, really nice and tasty and so easy to clean. I also have the Angus Enhanced and the Venty gets less and less use.
