NewFC question: one or the other or both

I'm pretty much sticking here. This is where the bulk of everything is. I think a merge is going to be difficult, unless there are special tools that automatically update URLs with post ID # and such. Also, merging might be difficult for usernames. Actually, I think it might be good to post...

    PLENTY Vaporizer

I have found that the material makes a difference. I have been taking notes for myself on which strains from my dispensary seem to vape better, for me. Flavor is big for me, then clouds. I currently have a strain that gives me wispy clouds and never seems to get brown, both in my Crafty and...

    NFC Moving threads from FC

try going back to the old site. It has the same software now.

It's so weird commenting here now, after everyone left.

Once the old site, now with the updated software, is properly configured, all should be good. I think merging the two forums might take more work than is really necessary. The FC community can just see those 2 months as 'the gap year of 2020', and allow the NFC to shut. A few DNS changes and...

    Discontinued Haze Square

Not worth it. When it worked, it was a great experience . But it was very inconsistent. And cleaning was a mess with so many parts. Excellent engineering and design, just didn't work.

It's so weird commenting here now, after everyone left.

There are different ways to keep things secure. The old software may have bugs, but those can be mitigated at the server level. At times, I have had some old Wordpress sites on my servers which I had to lock down harder than usual until they upgraded their software. For this forum, both the new...

NFC About NewFC & old FC: we're not sure where we're going but we're working on it

upgrading and maintaining the original forum is probably better. Especially when you have so much great content on the old one. It is the same software (XenForo), but the old one just hasn't been upgraded. Upgrade the original forum, allow this short-term forum to drop. (why bother with one...

    Ultrasonic cleaner recomendation

I just used the UC for the Plenty cooling coil. Alcohol was still needed for all the gunk. Also, I'll use the alcohol for wipe down on any parts that still feel a little sticky. It's not perfect. Different items need different techniques and solvents. And we are not talking super fast. The UC...

    Ultrasonic cleaner recomendation

The PBW works well, but seems to leave sticky gunk on the plastic basket. So, I also add a drop of dish soap, and that seems to remove the sticky. And as RustyOldNail said, it is important to learn your tools. Take the time to research the do's and don'ts. The reason I went with a UC was to get...

    Ultrasonic cleaner recomendation

yeah, why weary of iso? I am also, but I don’t know why. No scientific reason. I just think we misuse “common” household chemicals like bleach and others. currently, during the pandemic, iso can sometimes be hard to find. So having alternatives is great.

    Ultrasonic cleaner recomendation

I have been using a teaspoon of PBW in hot water using ultrasound. Works well. Some parts clean quickly, and others like gunked up vapor coolers, might require a few runs through the UC. This way, ISO can be used for smaller wipe down jobs.

    Crafty/Crafty+ by Storz & Bickel

As I go back and forth between my Crafty and my Ghost, I am reminded of what attracted me to Ghost (and before that, Haze Square)... Fast heat up time, and fast charging. The Haze Square was USB C, quick charging. And the heat up time was fast. I'm not going to look it up, but I remember it...

    Crafty/Crafty+ by Storz & Bickel

I liked my Ghost when it worked. But, after dealing with the Haze Square, and then Ghost, I decided the next vape will be one that has proven it's longevity. The one difference I notice right away is the wait time heating. Haze and Ghost were incredibly fast heat ups. And true convection. When...

    PLENTY Vaporizer

Cool, as in dorky and geeky, sure. It belongs in the garage next to the bike air pump. It is not a pleasant or stylish design, but sometimes function is more important that form.

    Discontinued Ghost MV1

I completely agree that a solid statement would help alleviate any speculations. I was not happy with how Haze just disappeared on us, so I am watching Ghost with caution. I simply point out the danger in speculating too much, especially about there being an upgrade coming. One positive thing...

    Discontinued Ghost MV1

From a technical standpoint, having semi-proprietary batteries might be a way of protecting from possible lawsuits related to exploding batteries. I, for one, make sure I get my batteries (for dive lights, and other vapes) from authorized brand dealers. Cheaply made batteries are dangerous...

    Discontinued Ghost MV1

I think the latch is only a problem on the stealth, and my guess is that it is because the other colors have a little chrome plating protecting the plastic latch. I went with a different color with my replacement for the broken latch. I had some issues with new one (uneven and excessive heat)...

    Discontinued Ghost MV1

Have you cleaned the whole heatsink? If using finer grind, I find some 'dust' always finds its way up into the heatsink and starts caking up and slowing airflow.
