Just recently noticed a ring inside the air tube that slows the stem from going up and down maybe 3/4 of the way in. Is that normal?

nice.. if I'm able to find a bit that small i will deff do that... do you think you can still you that glass as an oil can still. also do you find when you cover the oil can with the rubber does it restrict air flow?
