oh, surprised to read this. when did you get yours? mine is supposed to be a rather recent one. would you mind having a look in the battery compartment whether there's something between the button and the board? all the way 'slit' out i can see a tiny gap between the button and the board.

New here and to this amazing TM, which I just got after reading all the good things here and loving the design and general craftmanship. Only thing I was really surprised about from first touch was the rattling button and the LED shining all the way through the top holes and the stem. Guess...
