Thanks Bob, but don't feel bad bro, I highly doubt it was because of your method. MaDsCiEnTiSt22 has reported the same melting issue and I don't think he has the VSS mod and probably uses his tanks with the top on I would assume.

Hey guys just to update you I feel fine today, no more irritated throat. That being said, Bob, the method you described is the same exact way I was using my Hercules when the mouthpiece melted, so I don't think that's why you haven't had an issue.
