The standard seems more versatile.If you are into conservation the mini Vapor bros wand can't be beat.The standard SSV wand holds allot and the fatty is overkill for me.I have bought a $60 custom standard wand from the SSV site black friday.It was massive and the glass where the screen rests...

This might have come up in another thread but...I have found a great ash tray on ebay for glass.They are called "Kind ash cache" sorry i don't know how to post link.It works great i'm no linger worried about tapping my wand out anymore and they come in many colors.I couldn't live without one...

I have a quick SSV hose cleaning tip thats worked well for me: Hot water and powdered cascade, swish around and let set a few hours... fades color hoses a bit but otherwise good as new! also I'm glad to see so many new SSV users on here lately.I must admit it has been the best $200 i have ever...

you might want to call 7th floor and they will trouble shoot with you.You might just need to pull up on the heating element a bit to make its around 1/4-1/8" to the top of the heater cover.

Sarah you do not need anything else to make it hands free.Just the GG wand and GG heater cover.But i wouldn't say the GG is an upgrade.Glad you like the Surfer and try all 3 of the wands and heater covers.I have and i prefer the standard because i enjoy using a greater variety of wands.

the smoke buddy seems to be a hit or miss.I got one about 3 months ago and its not nearly effective like it was new.I wonder if there is a way to clean them?

Looking at my mini wand the other day it looks like they use the same size screen.It just looks like a smaller bore size and lighter glass. A must have IMO like a doctor having many sizes of tools.I wouldnt even bother ordering the extra tube or screens since the mini slides perfect into the SSV...
