Looks pretty dang interesting. I could see that big wood handle kind of getting in the way on a desk although it sure does look nice. I do like how they build that stand into the base for the controller, would be cool to see maybe a premium model with a wood enclosure around the controller as well.

You should be totally safe with your sic and tools touching it, its one of the tougher dab materials. The biggest issue I've ever heard of with sic is it being brittle and prone to shattering on hard drops.
